About Us

The mission of menesha is to increase food, water, and health security in resource-poor settings by investing in the capacity-building of grassroots organizations addressing these concerns in impoverished communities.

We are committed to ensuring “local solutions to local problems”, self-determination, and developing long-term solutions to recurring health issues by providing resources that strengthen the effectiveness and sustainability of community efforts. We believe that the answers to poverty lie in the expertise of the people, and that with the right resources, the recurring problems can be manage better. We believe that outside organizations are ineffective by themselves, because they often fail to listen to and include the community at every juncture.

Therefore, this support will be facilitated through a global resource connection network (on-line platform) where partnering grassroots organizations that lack fundamental resources can communicate their specific needs and be connected directly to people with resources who can fulfill them and enable them to effectively carry out their intended missions.
